    Maybe he should have gone to the doctor when he got sick rather than put his faith in L. Ron Hubbards miracle cure all. Not sure what the shame is, his son transitioned Sesame Street seamlessly and the Muppets had already been non-relevant for years.
    Is it really a shame or is just, “You were sick and didn’t go to the hospital? Thought your mind could heal pneumonia? Awwww…you were just a dumb ass after all.”
    Seriously if you don’t know why he died look it up. He was a Scientologist.

    Ok, Jim Henson was not a Scientologist, he was a Christian Scientist, there is a huge difference. Also, he did see a doctor initially who was unable to find any signs of pneumonia. He believed he was dying even though the doctors found nothing. In the end he delayed going to the hospital because he “didn’t want to bother anyone”. Finally he was convinced to go anyway where passes away not from streptococcus pneumonia but from septic shock.
